Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and professional Residential Roofing Inspector to join our team. This field-based role will require extensive knowledge of residential roofing systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform thorough roof inspections. The Inspector will act as a key point of contact with clients, demonstrating expertise and professionalism while gathering critical information for our estimating team. This position includes use of a company vehicle and may occasionally require travel to other Hawaiian islands.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct residential roof inspections and assess existing conditions of various roofing systems including asphalt shingles, tile (concrete and clay), cedar shakes, metal, synthetic roofing, and coatings.
• Use inspection checklists and standardized procedures to document findings and submit detailed reports to the statewide estimating office.
• Maintain a professional and knowledgeable presence in the field, representing the Company as a trusted expert.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with potential clients regarding inspection findings and the next steps in the roofing process.
• Collaborate with internal estimators, project managers, and customer service teams to ensure accurate handoff and alignment.
• Provide light sales support by answering homeowner questions and positively representing the company’s services.
• Operate company-provided vehicle to visit job sites across Oahu and, on occasion, other Hawaiian islands.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards while working on rooftops and conducting inspections.
• Maintain organized records of inspections and follow-up needs in CRM systems.

Requirements

• Must reside on Oahu and be available for field-based work across the island with occasional statewide travel.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in roofing inspections or related roles within the residential roofing industry.
• Extensive knowledge of roofing systems including asphalt shingles, tile, cedar, metal, synthetic, and coatings.
• Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in performing inspections and documenting findings.
• Professional communication skills with the ability to speak confidently with clients and internal teams.
• Basic understanding of roofing sales, estimating, or construction terminology is a plus.
• Ability to climb ladders, walk roofs safely, and work outdoors in various conditions.
• Familiarity with digital inspection tools, checklists, and CRM systems.
